About me

Hitesh is a Senior Applied Scientist and Tech Lead at Oracle, where he leads applied research on multilingual and multimodal AI for enterprise systems. His current focus is building models, evaluations, and guardrails for languages and domains that frontier models still underserve.

He has authored 40+ peer-reviewed papers and filed 15+ patents, with recognitions including a Best Social Impact Paper Award at EMNLP and a Spotlight at ICML. He contributes to open research efforts on multilingual AI through Cohere For AI’s Aya initiative and SEACrowd, and serves the community as an area chair, reviewer, and ACL mentor.

He received his M.S. from NYU, where he was advised by Prof. Ralph Grishman.
