Open Research Communities

I contribute to community-driven research through Cohere For AI’s Aya community, SEACrowd, and the Multilingual Representation Learning (MRL) community. My collaborative work also includes joint initiatives involving Common Crawl, EleutherAI, MLCommons, and Johns Hopkins University, as well as the EPFL-led INCLUDE collaboration. These efforts bring together researchers and language communities to build shared multilingual and multimodal resources.

Collaborative contributions include SEA-VL, Anthropogenic Regional Adaptation, CommonLID, Global PIQA, and INCLUDE-2.0.

Industry Service

• Lead the patent program within Oracle’s applied generative-AI organization — guide invention disclosures, chair IP review sessions, and mentor scientists across the team through the filing process.
